Fenomena Sekularisasi Mikro pada Pola Ibadah Mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Jakarta Setelah Mengikuti Organisasi Kemahasiswaan

Religion teaches various virtues to its adherents, encouraging them to worship God consistently and avoid all prohibited actions. As modern life becomes increasingly demanding, many individuals, particularly university students involved in student organizations, tend to experience a decline in their enthusiasm for maintaining regular religious practices due to the numerous schedules and responsibilities they must fulfill. This study aims to examine the phenomenon of micro-secularization among students at Universitas Negeri Jakarta after participating in student organizations. The research employed a qualitative approach, with informants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with five informants and supported by observations. The study was conducted from June 2025 in Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Data were analyzed using the interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that several Universitas Negeri Jakarta students involved in organizations have experienced changes in their worship practices, such as performing prayers individually rather than in congregation, postponing prayers and making them qada when necessary, or utilizing online platforms. Nevertheless, they reported continuing these religious practices because they have been deeply embedded in their lives since childhood, and they feel a sense of incompleteness when they neglect them. The primary reasons for these changes include demanding schedules, mental and physical fatigue, and the burden of balancing academic responsibilities with organizational commitments simultaneously.
