Persepsi Masyarakat terhadap Profil Kelurahan Turikale sebagai Media Keterbukaan Informasi Publik di Kabupaten Maros

Abstract

Information disclosure is a form of government service aimed at fulfilling the public’s right to obtain accurate and accessible information. To support public information disclosure, students participating in the Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) developed the Turikale Urban Village Profile as a brochure containing information on area conditions, government structure, public facilities, tourism potential, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This study aims to examine public perceptions of the Turikale Urban Village Profile as a medium for disseminating public information in Maros Regency. The study employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a survey method. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to community members who had viewed or read the profile, while secondary data were obtained through literature review and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics based on indicators of ease of obtaining information, ease of understanding information, information completeness, profile benefits, and its role in supporting public information disclosure. The results showed that most respondents had positive perceptions of the Turikale Urban Village Profile. The information was considered complete, easy to understand, and useful for helping the community learn about area conditions, facilities, and local potential. The profile also facilitated access to information without requiring visits to the urban village office directly. However, respondents suggested regular data updates and further development of digital information media. Therefore, the profile can serve as a public information medium supporting government transparency and facilitating community access to information.
